Traveling Guided Walk

This is reusable sanction, intended only for: small clubs who may not believe they will get 20 people to come to an Event Walk; for those clubs who currently do “exploratory walks” regularly but the routes, while over 5 km, don’t have a 10 km option; and for those clubs who have a small, dedicated group wanting to do unusual or harder walks in outlying areas that might not appeal to the larger portion of the club.

For all other walks it is expected that the clubs will use the regular Event or Permanent Trails sanction.
The trails used by the Travelling Guided Walk should not be the same trails used by the Permanent Trails.
To sanction a walk, use CVF’s Permanent Trail sanction form and print “Traveling Guided Walk” at the top. Because there will be multiple start points, advise CVF’s Office Assistant a few days ahead of time of each walk what the start point will be.
For each route walkers are entitled to a Distance and an Event label.

The Ottawa Voyageurs Walking Club has created a "West-end" Travelling Guided Walk to continue offering former Nepean Nomad Walks. Look in our Club Walks listing for these walks which a guided walk offered only on the day of the published event.
