Prepare for a special spring event: two days of walking along beautiful panoramic, waterfront trails with restful, shaded areas to have breaks.
- For those interested in cycling, there are beautiful paths along the St Lawrence River Waterfront Trail and in particular, along the Long Sault Parkway.
- A number of rooms have been reserved for our group at the Best Western Hotel – see the Registration Form for details.
- Registration for this event will be open from April 25 to May 25.
LOCATION: Waterfront Trail and the Cornwall Riverside Trail.

Cycle Event Sanction #11101 – Your choice of distance and direction but we recommend cycling the Long Sault Parkway. Support for cyclists is not provided.
Walkers – Exact details of the start time, routes, washroom locations, and break stops will be provided once you are registered. Please bring your own water bottle.
Day 1 Sanction #11102 begins at the Long Sault Parkway, Ingleside Entrance (West Gate), westward to Upper Canada Village (approx. 11 km). Lunch at Upper Canada Village, a stop at the Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary as well as snacks and breaks in beautiful park-like settings, then return for a total distance of approx. 22 km. Day 2 Sanction #11103 begins at the Cornwall Cooperative Marina, Montreal Rd at Boundary Rd, walking westward on the Waterfront Trail to the Moses-Saunders Power Dam for Lunch (approx. 11 km), stops at City of Cornwall Lamoureux Park and a beautiful day along the St. Lawrence River for a total distance of approx. 22 km. Support for walkers who wish to walk a shorter distance will be provided.

The Walking and Volkssport Association of Ontario, and the organizers of this event, will not be responsible for any accident, theft or loss suffered by the participants of this event. The Walking and Volkssport Association of Ontario and the Canadian Volkssport Federation (CVF) will not accept liability for medical expenses due to an accident while doing any of our sponsored walks. The CVF HIGHLY recommends that Canadians and non-Canadians have proper and adequate medical insurance when they do a walk out of their home province or arrive from another country.
