INFORMATION: Between 1998 and 2006, the PubliArts group installed thirty murals representing historic events in the former City of Vanier, now the City of Ottawa’s Vanier sector. The murals’ subjects include daily life around a general store, the railway, shops on Beechwood Avenue, educational, sports and cultural activities and children’s games

TRAIL INFORMATION: 5 & 10 km Map Walk - Level 2B

LOCATION: Richelieu-Vanier Community Centre, 300 Des Pères-Blancs Avenue, Ottawa, ON K1L 7L5

START TIME: 09:00 - 10:00 hrs

TRAIL CLOSES: 12:00 hrs

DIRECTIONS: Exit Hwy 174 at the Vanier Parkway, travel north on the Vanier Pkwy to Montreal Rd. Turn right on Montreal Rd to Marier St. on the left (Eastview Pizza on the corner). Left on Marier to Avenue des Pères Blancs. Right on Avenue des Pères Blancs and go to the end of the street. You will come to the parking lot at the Community Centre.

PARKING: Parking is free on surrounding streets.

FEE: Registration is $2.00.

FACILITIES: Washrooms are available at the start/finish.
