INFORMATION: This is the19th annual walk the Ottawa Voyageurs have organized for the National Capital Commission’s Fall Rhapsody Festival in Gatineau Park. The NCC Fall Rhapsody Festival offers a spectacular chance to experience the beauty of the season in the heart of Gatineau Park, while being surrounded by the most picturesque scenery imaginable.

TRAIL INFORMATION: 5 & 10 km Map Walk - Level 3C

LOCATION: Gatineau Park (start location to be determined. Check our website ottawavoyageurs.ca in September for more details)

START TIME: 09:30 - 10:30 hrs

TRAIL CLOSES: 12:30 hrs

DIRECTIONS: Take Macdonald-Cartier Bridge to Gatineau, QC; In Gatineau, QC, go North on Highway 5 and take Old Chelsea Exit; Turn left and go through Chelsea, QC; Carry on straight, you are now on Meech Lake Rd.; Turn left on the road to Camp Fortune (Dunlop Rd.); Turn right on Fortune Lake Parkway; Follow that road to Keogan Parking/Shelter, sign on your left; Turn left and park your car at the parking lot and follow the OVO signs to Keogan Shelter.

FEE: Registration is $2.00.

FACILITIES: Washrooms are available at the start and finish point and on route.

SOCIAL: Bring yourself a lunch and something to drink for a “picnic”, at the shelter, after the walk as well as dessert to share, if possible. Your food and drink can be left at the shelter with the start/finish point person during the walk. Hiking boots, long pants, long sleeve shirt and bugs repellent are recommended for those who intend to do the challenging 5 & 10 km, but not necessary for the easy 5 km.
