INFORMATION: Explore the small eastern Ontario town of Alfred. Alfred is a Franco-Ontarian community about 70 km east of Ottawa. Also known as the french-fry capital of Canada, Alfred is a picturesque rural town.

TRAIL CLOSES: 12:00 hrs

DIRECTIONS: From Ottawa going East on Hwy 417, take Hwy 174 in direction to Orléans, ON, and carry on straight on County Road # 17 up to Alfred, ON, going through Rockland, ON, and Plantagenet, ON, The restaurant will be on your left on the main road, closed the middle of the village of Alfred, ON.

PARKING: Free parking lot at the start point and on the street.

FEE: Registration is $2.00.

FACILITIES: Washrooms available.

SOCIAL: Join your fellow walkers for food and refreshments will be at Le Chardo Restaurant.
