A TALE OF TWO CEMETERIES

INFORMATION: Notre-Dame Cemetery, established in 1872, is Ottawa's oldest and largest Catholic Cemetery. It is the burial place for Wilfred Laurier, a Canadian Prime Minister and other well-known Canadians. Beechwood Cemetery is designated as a National Historic Site of Canada. In addition to being Canada's National Cemetery, it is also the National Military Cemetery of Canada and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police National Memorial Cemetery. Our walk will take us through these beautiful wooded cemeteries.

START TIME: 18:00 - 18:30 hrs

TRAIL CLOSES: 20:30 hrs

DIRECTIONS: From Hwy 417 Exit St Laurent Blvd. heading south, crossing Montreal Rd. The Works restaurant will be on your right just passed the entrance to Beechwood cemetery.

PARKING: Parking is free in the parking lot adjacent to the Works.

FEE: Registration is $2.00.

FACILITIES: Washrooms are available at the start and finish point.

SOCIAL: Join your fellow walkers for food and refreshments after the walk at The Works.
