A schedule of weekly cycling activities has been planned, mostly for the Ottawa-Carleton area, with some also out of town. Participants should come with a properly working bicycle, safety equipment (helmet, mirror, rear red light (if possible)) and a lunch, unless otherwise indicated. Water for hydration is also highly recommended.

Chosen routes will avoid, as much as possible, roads that have speed limits of greater than 60 kph. Participants should confirm their presence by email to me the day before the event at the latest. I also reserve the right to cancel due to weather or other causes. Cancelled events will be rescheduled. Maps to the start points and the routes themselves will be sent out the day before.

As much as possible, there will be coordination between participants for travel and transport of bikes to start points. There will be opportunity for lunch together after the rides.

Here’s my proposed schedule. Any date can be changed, as long as it’s a Thursday. Some alternate Sundays are shown. Anyone interested in participating should let me know as soon as possible for each event.

UPDATE Air Quality

Due to the continuing poor Air Quality Index on Thursday June 29, the group ride is postponed until this coming Sunday, as previously announced. If the weather and/or poor air continues, or there is no interest, this event will be postponed until Aug 03. The schedule for the remainder of July will remain unchanged.
