INFORMATION: This Map Snowshoe/Walk begins and ends at the Mackenzie King Estate in Gatineau Park and is the first event of the Ottawa Voyageurs Club’s Special Events for the year.
NOTE: It is recommended that you bring walking poles as the trails could be slippery.
TRAIL INFORMATION: 6 and 10 km trails - Level 1A for snowshoe and level 3B for walkers
LOCATION: MacKenzie King Estate in Gatineau Park, QC
START TIME: 9:30 - 10:00 am
TRAIL CLOSES: 1:00 pm
DIRECTIONS: Cross Macdonald-Cartier Bridge, carry on straight on Hwy 5 North. Exit at Chelsea, LEFT on Old Chelsea Rd. and LEFT on Kingsmere Rd. Just before parking # 7, LEFT on Swamp Rd. At the T junction, turn RIGHT on Barnes Rd. Then turn LEFT on the road towards Parking #6.
PARKING: Park in NCC parking lot number 6.
FEE: Participation in the event is free. The fee for IVV credit is $2.00
FACILITIES: Washrooms are available at start and finish. Parking is free.
SOCIAL: Hot chocolate will be available after the walk.
